Pada hari ini dalam tahun 1999, tanggal 15 Oktober merupakan hari
pembukaan laman web filemelayu.cjb.net.  Jom kita check wujud lagi tak laman web tu. La, ada lagi rupanya. Panjang umur... Geocities masih
belum mahu tutup laman web itu, mungkin sebab masih ramai pengunjung walaupun dah lama tak dikemaskini. Selamat menyambut ulangtahun
ke-5.

Carta Filem - pilihan pengunjung filemelayu (1999-2003):
Sempena penutupan tidak rasmi filemelayu, saya telah menyediakan sebuah carta berbentuk statistik tentang filem yang paling kerap
dilihat oleh pengunjung laman web filemelayu.
- Pergi ke http://groups.yahoo.com/group/filemkita/files/Carta%20Filem/
- Gunakan Yahoo ID untuk login.
- Klik pada fail "filmhits.xls" (saiz 357KB) atau "filmhits.zip" (saiz
55KB) mengikut kehendak anda.
- Sekiranya capaian internet laju, terus saja klik dan buka "filmhits.xls"
menggunakan Excel, jika tidak, download "filmhits.zip" ke komputer anda
dan buka menggunakan WinZip.
Fail itu mengandungi judul filem yang disenaraikan di laman web filemelayu
sehingga tahun 2001, dengan filem terakhirnya KL Menjerit. Filem yg ditayangkan selepas itu tiada dalam
senarai. Fail itu disusun mengikut jumlah lawatan (hits) pengunjung filemelayu untuk setiap judul filem sejak
September 1999 hingga September 2003.
Carta Filem ini mengandungi beberapa komen seperti "Filem Komedi
Paling Popular", "Filem 80-an Paling Popular", "Filem Perang Paling Popular" dan
lain-lain. Kotak berbucu merah mengandungi komen-komen tersebut. Letak penunjuk pada kotak untuk melihat komen, atau lihat
kesemua komen dengan memilih menu View dan klik Comment. Selain itu, lihat juga senarai ringkas kategori (genre) filem yang
mendapat paling banyak hits. Klik pada mukasurat Genre.
Carta Filem ini bukanlah menggambarkan pilihan sebenar penonton filem
di Malaysia. Carta Filem ini adalah suka-suka saje, dan tidak boleh digunakan kalau korang nak buat kajian ke, tugasan ke atau untuk urusan
rasmi, sebab keputusannya mempunyai banyak faktor. Tak semestinya filem itu banyak hits, bermakna orang suka. Ada orang yang sebaliknya
suka lihat laman web filem yang dia tak suka. Ada juga filem yg hits berdasarkan faktor semasa, contohnya Naib Juara iaitu
filem.. (korang tengok sendiri nanti). Jadi, kalau nak tahu sebab apa sesetengah
filem banyak hits, lihat kotak "Top search word(s)", sebagai contoh, filem Mendam Berahi banyak hits sebab ramai yang cari
"gambar shaleen cheah".
Itulah serba sedikit maklumat tentang Carta Filem ini. Download dan
lihat, sambil-sambil berehat hujung minggu ini.

September, dari 1999 hingga 2003, filemelayu sudah 'ampat tahun
lar'. Sebelum ditutup untuk memberi laluan kepada filemkita.com, mungkin boleh dibuat sedikit kajian.
Bukan apa.. maksudnya dalam
banyak-banyak filem yg tersenarai, laman filem mana yg paling banyak dilihat oleh
pengunjung filemelayu. Macam tu lah lebih kurang. Saya sekarang sedang menyusun data yg disimpan oleh
Geocities. Jadi, lepas siap
nanti, saya akan hantar senarai itu: ada Top 10, Top100, Top200, macam carta popular
laa.. Filem yg paling banyak hits sampai 3000 lebih ialah.... cuba teka?
Takdelah susah sangat, iaitu filem yg
paling last masuk senarai pada 2002 - filem KLmenJERIT. Filem yg selepas KLM tak termasuk dalam
carta ini ok. Sengaja saya beritahu juara carta, sebab tempat ke-2 tu yg paling
gempak. Tunggulah nanti. Selain itu, anda juga akan tahu filem yg paling tak popular.
Percaya
atau tidak, ada filem yg sepanjang 4 tahun, tiada sebarang hits, kosong.
Kebanyakannya filem klasik laa. Lain-lain yg
menarik ialah macam: filem komedi paling popular, filem 80-an paling popular, filem
P. Ramlee/Yusof Haslam/Aziz M. Osman paling popular, filem Bujang Lapok paling popular dll.
Semuanya berdasarkan berapa kali laman
filem tu dilihat oleh pengunjung filemelayu sepanjang Sept 99 hingga sekarang.
Untuk lebih menarik, ada disertakan 'search
word(s)' yg digunakan untuk mencari filem itu dan juga carta kecil: genre (kategori)
filem paling popular pilihan pengunjung filemelayu. Tunggu.. akan di upload bila-bila masa dalam format file MS Excel. OK.

Dapat idea untuk buat website
filemelayu sebab..
- susah sangat nak dapat maklumat filem melayu yang bertaburan di sana
sini. kena rujuk banyak tempat.
- terpengaruh dengan IMDB.com sebab banyak sangat rujuk website tu lepas tengok VCD pirate cerita hollywood.
- teringat surat pembaca dalam sebuah akhbar yang cadang suruh buat website filem
tempatan.
Kemudian, mula kumpul maklumat tentang filem dan buat design dan lakar bentuk website
atas kertas. Banyak rekabentuk dan rupa berjaya dihasilkan.
SEBELUM
FILEMELAYU...
Mac 1999
VCD bersepah di pasaran. Mula kumpul VCD filem melayu. Pertama sekali beli Amok
(sebab kagum sangat masa tengok kat
pawagam dulu - 1995) dan juga Panas
(1998 - tak tengok di pawagam). Sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit.
*Masih tidak
menonton filem di pawagam sepanjang tahun 1999. Terlepas filem bagus seperti Jogho dan Perempuan
Melayu Terakhir. Juga, tidak merasai kegilaan Senario The Movie.
1997-1998
Start kerja, sibuk sungguh sampai tak 'lalu' nak tengok wayang walaupun
terasa nak tengok Layar Lara. Tunggu raya, tengok dalam TV. Masa tu, filem pun dah tak banyak dibuat, sebab kegawatan
ekonomi.
1993-1996
Mula mengikuti perkembangan filem melayu.
